Winding its way through the oaks and pines of Sugarloaf Country Club is the renowned TPC at Sugarloaf championship golf course.  The centerpiece of our elegant neighborhood, the 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course provides spectacular vistas and challenging golf. An additional 9 holes was later added, making this 27-hole course one of the best in the country.  Many of the world’s best golfers have played here and love our well-manicured fairways and greens.

Events

From 1997 through 2008, the TPC at Sugarloaf has been home to the PGA TOUR’s popular AT&T Classic (formerly the Bellsouth Classic).  This annual tournament drew more than 160,000 spectators and millions more through national television coverage.

Distinctions

Excellence is a Sugarloaf standard. Our exceptional course has garnered national accolades:

  1. TPC at Sugarloaf was named one of Golfweek’s “Best Residential Courses 2006.”
  2. Golf Digest named TPC at Sugarloaf among the top 10 new, private courses in the nation.
  3. Golfweek named TPC at Sugarloaf, site of the PGA Tour’s AT&T Classic, among the Top 100 Modern Golf Courses in the World.
  4. According to Golf World, the TPC course at Sugarloaf is “the best thing to emerge from the hills of Atlanta since Bobby Jones.”

Practice Facilities

Complementing the championship golf course is an extraordinary practice facility.

Multi-station and multi-tiered hitting areas provide extensive opportunities for you to work on your game. Target greens are large and varied, with yardages from 50 to 225 yards. There is also a teaching area where the Golf Director and his staff offer private instruction for the beginner or the seasoned amateur.

There is also a unique, 360-degree short game practice area.  Simulating the many different shots required on the championship golf course, a challenging array of sand traps, knolls, depressions and different grass heights surrounds a 20,000-square-foot green.  The short game facility is sure to help you fine-tune your high lob shots.

The 18,000-square-foot putting green will help bring your score down even lower.  Meticulously groomed year round at the same grass height as that found on the course, you will only have yourself to blame for missing the roll or tempo of putts during your round!

A Naturally Beautiful Environment

The TPC at Sugarloaf is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.  The Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program is an education and certification program awarded to golf courses that take extraordinary measures to protect the environment.
